Prakriti Museum, Shantiniketan

Prakriti Museum in Shantiniketan near Kolkata (Calcutta), West Bengal state in India is a famous art gallery, founded by Subrata Basu. Unlike the conventional type of art galleries, this museum exclusively showcases nature’s artistry in wood and rock in the form of natural sculptures and photographs.

There is also an outdoor sculpture garden along with indoor galleries. Two guest rooms for visiting artists and artisans, an open air stage and a small café counter with kitchenette are also the main attractions of this museum.

The sculptures in this museum are very amazing and are a very rare sight for the art enthusiasts. It includes fossil sculptures also. It is worth visiting this museum.
