A car ride on Vidyasagar Setu
Featured here is a car ride on the Vidyasagar Setu, a bridge over the Hooghly River in West Bengal, India. It is the second bridge to be built across the Hooghly River hence it is also known by the name Second Hooghly Bridge. The first was the Howrah Bridge which is also known as Rabinrda Setu.
Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar after whom the bridge was named was a 19th century Bengali educationist reformer. The bridge, which links the city of Kolkata to Howrah, is the longest cable-stayed bridge in India and one of the longest in Asia.
