Banyan tree in Shantiniketan

Shantiniketan near Kolkata (Calcutta), West Bengal state of India is a very popular institution. Since Rabindranath Tagore established Shantiniketan, it is a place of historical importance. There is a banyan tree in Shantiniketan, which is very old and is one of the main attractions of this place.

It is believed that Tagore brought three stones from river Kuai and after that he planted the banyan tree in this place. You can see the stones in the video. Today it is a place for relaxation to the people in Shantiniketan.
