Semi precious stones are inlaid in the marble in beautiful patterns and within the dome lies the jewel-inlaid cenotaph of the queen.

The Taj Mahal is the personification of the Emperor Shah Jahan’s love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. The stones of this ancient monument are alive with the passion and ardour of its creator. If there ever was a true symbol of love on Earth, it is this.
