Man Mandir Ghat, Varanasi
Along with other important ghats in Varanasi, Man Mandir Ghat, which dates back to 1600, was built by Raja Savai Man Singh. Named after Man Singh, the ghat underwent renovation in the19th century.
Originally known as Somesvara Ghat, it has a fine balcony at the north end of the Ghat along with a small observatory founded by Raja Jai Singh of Jaipur. Famous temples such as Sthuladanta Vinayaka, Rameshwara and Someshwara temples are located near this ghat.
