Madhura
Madhura is the birth place of Lord Krishna, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu as per the Hindu mythology. This place of utmost religious importance is located on the western banks of river Yamuna in Uttar Pradesh.
This travel city is also known as an industrial hub with many small as well as large scale industries including the Indian Oil Corporation located here.
Madhura has also the distinction of being home to the Madhura School of Art, which has been nourished during the reign of Emperor Ashoka. The specimens of this artistic style can be well viewed in the Buddha sculptures of the era.
