Triveni Ghat, Rishikesh

Triveni Ghat literally means the merging of three rivers viz. Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. This is considered a holy site in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand state of India. Featuring in this video is Triveni Ghat and the surroundings, where devotees throng as part of their pilgrimage.

To take a dip in this place is considered as a sacred act and most of the devotees offer prayers at this place. During evenings, devotees sit on the steps of Triveni Ghat chanting hymns and offer their prayers with lighted lamps (aarti).
