Sapt Rishi Ashram in Haridwar, Uttarakhand
This video is on Sapt Rishi Ashram, also referred to as Sapt Sarovar, is a popular site in Haridwar, Uttarakhand state of India. It is an ancient ashram which hosted seven sages Kashyapa, Vashisht, Atri, Vishwamitra, Jamadagni, Bharadwaja and Gautam.
Sapt Rishi literally means seven sages and hence the ashram obtained its name. It is also believed that when the seven sages meditated in this place, River Ganga split into seven currents and hence it got the name Sapt Sarovar.
