Pilgrims trekking to Yamunotri Temple
Situated close to Yamuna River, the second holiest river in India, the Yamunotri Temple located in the state of Uttarakhand, is accessible only by a full day’s journey from the towns of Rishikesh, Haridwar and Dehradun.
A least visited shrine, the Yamunotri temple has been destroyed twice by snow and floods before being rebuilt. The original temple was built by Maharani Guleria of Jaipur in the 19th century. The video above shows you pilgrims trekking in a procession towards the famous shrine.
