Gun Hill Ropeway, Mussoorie

This video shows the Gun Hill, the second highest peak of Mussoorie, Uttarakhand state of India. The major attraction of this place is the 400 metre ropeway connecting the Mall to the Gun Hill. Riding the ropeway is quite an exciting experience.

By paying Rs. 55 you can reach the top of the Gun Hill by the ropeway and from there you get a scenic view of the town. It is crowded on weekends as lots of tourists visit this place often.

There are many restaurants and stalls available where you get a variety of snacks. There is a park on the Gun Hill where you can sit and relax. You can also enjoy the ride in a giant wheel.

During pre-independence days, the hill had a gun stationed on it which was fired to herald mid-day, thus enabling people to adjust their watches and hence the name Gun Hill.
