Badrinath Temple - Chota Char Dham pilgrimage circuit
Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, is a famed pilgrim destination for Hindus and is located at Chamoli district of Uttarakhand in India. This religious holy town is the most important of all the four (Char) dhams in India. Located amidst Nar and Naryana mountain ranges, is the town of Badrinath at an elevation of 3,133mts above sea level on the left bank of Alakananda River. Legend says that the temple was opened by Adi Shankaracharya and it was later renovated several times after its establishment.
