Traditional Weaving, Tripura
Featured in this video is a woman weaving clothes using various coloured threads in one of the villages in Tripura, a north-eastern state in India.
There are several tribes settled in the villages of Tripura. Chakma, Halam, Tripuri and Reang are some of the major tribes living in this place. Most of these tribes earn their livelihood either by farming or by weaving.
Seen in this video is a Chakma woman busy weaving colourful sarees. One can find many such weaving equipment in front of various village houses in Tripura.
