Neermahal- the water palace at Udaipur
Neermahal or the water palace is located in the middle of natural lake- Rudrasagar in Udaipur in Tripura state, India. This wonderful lake palace was constructed by then ruler of Tripura Maharaja Birbikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur as a summer resort.
The architecture of the palace is a good combination of Hindu and Mughal. The palace complex is divided into two one on the western side known as Andar Mahal which was used by the royal family and another on the eastern side which was used for the security personnel and servants.
During olden days, Maharajas used to go Neermahal by motor boat from Rajghat and besides, there is a motor boat ghat inside the palace with two stairs.
