Elephant rescued from well
Elephants; of course they are huge. But that doesn’t mean that they can manage on their own in all kinds of situations. There are times when these gentle giants badly need the help of others. This video is all about that. A wild baby elephant belonging to a herd strayed into a human settlement in the Palakkad district of Kerala and fell into a well.
The poor elephant struggled inside the well for about 20 hours and almost got drowned. The local forest officials, police and the fire force along with the help of the local people put up an all-out effort and finally rescued the baby elephant. Kunki elephants – trained elephants from the neighbouring state of Tamilnadu were also brought to assist the rescue operation. Soon after its rescue, the baby elephant found its way on its own to the nearby forest.
