Tiger at Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan
Located in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan state is the Ranthambore National Park, one of the renowned national parks in northern India. Being a major wildlife tourist attraction and famous for its tigers, the park is often visited by nature enthusiasts along with animal lovers.
Featured in this video is T-19, daughter of the much acclaimed Machali, Ranthambhore’s most famous tiger, also known as T-16 or the Lady of the lake. She was given a “lifetime achievement award” by Travel Operators for Tigers (TOFT) in Delhi.
TOFT estimated that Machali contributed about US $ 10 million per annum for the last 10 years to the local economy in Ranthambhore). Not only graceful as her mother, T-19 and also her sibling T- 17 are now poised at 3 years of age to start another generation of tigers.
