Rajadhani Express at Thiruvananthapuram
Rajadhani Express is the name for a series of passenger trains connecting New Delhi, the capital of India with major destinations, mostly the state capitals.
But this Rajadhani express, the one connecting Delhi and Kerala (Train No.2431 Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram) has something special. Pictures of serene beaches, beautiful hill stations, enchanting backwaters and various art forms are painted on the coaches of the train. This campaign is titled as ‘Go Kerala’ or ‘Chalo Kerala’ organised by Kerala Tourism in association with Indian railways
Since Kerala is a major tourist destination, this attempt at depicting scenic locales will do well for the tourism sector in Kerala. The passing people and the tourists are enthralled by the paintings and become aware of the beauty of Kerala.
