Indian Wildlife
In this video, famous herpetologist Romulus Whitaker talks about conservation, growing up in India and calling it an “incredible good fortune”, and the huge range of the wilds in India.
He stresses that conservation or optimal management of the wilds and the life in them should be founded on systematic study and recording of data, if it is to be any good. He also talks with wondrous awe of the Indian landscape that has everything from parched deserts to rainforests where, in some places, the sun’s rays never touch.
For him, India is beyond description and most definitely, worth it.
