Stand in Tadasana. Bend the right leg at the knee and place the heel on the inner side of the left thigh as high as possible. The toes should point downwards.
Balancing on the left leg join your palms at chest level in a prayer position. Then raise the arms straight up over your head. Breathe deeply and try to remain in this position for a few seconds. Then lower the arms back to chest level and then separate the palms. Straighten the leg and stand in Tadasana as before.
Repeat the posture while balancing on the right leg.
Effect: This asana helps strengthen the muscles, tendons and ligaments of the legs and thus improves your
health. The power to balance the body and mental concentration are greatly enhanced.
