Vedanta
Vedanta means the end of Veda. Hence it deals with the later (Uttara) sections of the Veda. Vedanta is also called Uttara mimamsa. The concluding portions of the Vedas are commonly known as the Upanishads.
Badarayana’s Vedanta Sutra (400 BC) is a collection of treatises on the fundamental texts - Upanishads.
