Aurobindo was educated at St. Paul’s School, London and King’s College, Cambridge. He was essentially a poet, an intellectual and a writer. He began his yoga in 1904. He had experienced the enduring and indefinable God realization in 1908. He has written several books. His great works were ‘The Life Divine’, ‘The Synthesis of
Yoga’, ‘Essays on the Gita’, ‘The Foundations of
Indian Culture’, ‘The Psychology of Social Development’ (The Human Cycle) and ‘The Ideal of Human Unity and The Future Poetry’.
