Atman
Now let us try to understand the ‘Atman’ or the higher ‘Self’ as expounded in the Upanishads. The Atman or Brahman is the pure mass of consciousness and it is not possible to describe it through the normal intellectual expositions. Therefore a higher knowledge becomes inevitable.
