Rose Garden, Ooty
The real beauty of roses is found here. Sprawling over an area of 10 acres, the Rose Garden at Ooty, State of Tamil Nadu, India, has terraces with pergolas, rose tunnels and bowers with rose creepers to care over 3600 varieties of roses. Considered to be the largest rose garden in India, it is situated on the slopes of the Elk Hill at Vijayanagaram in the town of Ooty.
As Ooty has a unique mountain climate, it is the most preferable location for growing of a variety of roses including Miniature roses, Hybrid Tea roses, Ramblers and Floribunda. For its fineness, the garden was awarded the ‘Garden of Excellence’ by the World Federation of Rose Societies (WFRS) in 2006.
If you are yet to see a variety of roses, step in to this idyllic garden to feel the charm of flowers amid misty mountains.
