Pamban Bridge Rameswaram - India's first Sea Bridge
This video features the Pamban Bridge in Rameswaram, Tamilnadu state of India. It is the second longest sea bridge in India and is significant from a historic point of view. This is a cantilever type bridge allowing transportation by road and rail.
The railway bridge was opened for traffic in the year 1914 and it has a length of about 2.3 km. The Pamban Bridge is situated in the Palk Strait and it joins pamban bridge train to the mainland of India.
