Land of flowers: Ooty Botanical Garden

The land of flowers, the Rose Garden at Ooty, State of Tamil Nadu, India, has in store around 3600 varieties of roses. Needless to say, you will get addicted to the beauty of multitude of roses in different colours in this garden that sprawls over an area of 10 acres.

Formerly known as Jayalalitha Rose Garden, the Rose Park here was established to commemorate the centenary Flower Show in the Government Botanical Gardens at Udagamandalam (Ooty) in May 1995. The garden has a viewpoint from where visitors can get a panoramic view of the Ooty town.
