Lakshmana Theertham, Rameshwaram

This video shows Lakshmana Theertham in Rameshwaram, a sacred place in Tamilnadu state of India. It is considered as a holy place for Hindus. Rameshwaram temple is one of the popular pilgrim centers situated in the Gulf of Mannar at the extreme tip of the Indian peninsula.

The presiding deity of the temple is the Linga of Sri Ranganatha, which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. Lakshmana Theertham is a small pond and the water in the pond is considered as holy.
