Labourers in Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu

This video shows the labourers within Rajapalayam, a municipal town in Tamilnadu state of India. ‘Rajus’ were once a dominant community in this city and they built a fort (palayam) in this place and named it ‘Raju Palayam’. With usage the name changed into Rajapalayam.

This is a historical city in its own way. Labourers or the working class people are seen in large numbers in this place and they are considered as the strongest socialist group. In this video you can see a man explaining about the labour group and its merits.
