Kailashanathar temple is a famous temple known for the beauty of its sculptures. This temple is dedicated Lord Shiva and was built by the Pallava ruler Rajasimha at Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu state, India. The temple structure is filled with all the sixty four aspects of Lord Shiva.

There are 58 small shrines around the main temple. Among the carvings in the temple, the most interesting one are the Urdhva Tandava dance of Shiva and the laughing face of Goddess Parvati. Shivratri is the biggest festival held here. Kanchipuram known as the city of temples is one of the India’s seven sacred cities.
