Bus trip to Dhanushkodi from Rameshwaram, Tamilnadu
This vide clip is from a bus trip to Dhanushkodi from Rameshwaram in Tamilnadu State of India. Dhanushkodi is a town situated at the southern tip of Rameshwaram and is about 18 miles west of Talaimannar in Sri Lanka.
It is believed that Vibheeshana, a well-wisher of Rama and the brother of Ravana, the King of Lanka requested Rama to break the sethu (bridge) with one end of his bow and hence the name Dhanushkodi. Dhanush means bow and kodi means tip. It was a famous tourist destination till a cyclone demolished everything in 1964.
