Gandhamadana hill, Rameshwaram, Tamilnadu
This video features Gandhamadana Parvatha, a double storied hillock situated at the highest point on Rameshwaram island, Tamilnadu state of India. It is located about 3 km from Rameshwaram temple.
It is believed that Hanuman, the devotee of Lord Rama jumped from this hillock to reach Lanka. You can also find the footprints of Lord Rama on the Chakra (wheel) in the Mandapa at the top of the hillock. The devotees and tourists frequent this place as it has historical significance.
