Dhanushkodi well, Rameswaram, Tamilnadu

Dhanushkodi in Tamilnadu state of India is the southernmost tip of Rameshwaram island. It is located very close to Sri Lanka. Dhanushkodi was completely washed away by the 1964 cyclone and you can find the remains of the many buildings in the place.

Dhanushkodi is considered as sacred and a holy place for Hindus. In this video you can see a well which is sacred. The water in the well is said to have medicinal value and devotees from around the world collect it to take home as they believe it cures many diseases.
