Lime Rice or Elumicham Sadam

Ingredients

Rice – 2 cups cooked rice
Lime fruits – 2
Gingelly (sesame) Oil – 4 tablespoons
Turmeric powder – ¼ tablespoon
Split Bengal gram – 2 tablespoons
Capsicum – 1
Chopped green chillies- 3
Ginger – 1 small piece chopped fine
Mustard: 1/2 teaspoon
Skinless black gram - 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin seeds – 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves – 2 sprigs
Coriander leaves – 2 tablespoon
Salt to taste

Method of preparation

• Pour 4 tablespoons of gingelly oil in a pan. Add ½ teaspoon mustard and ½ teaspoon skinless black gram, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, 3 table spoon split bengal gram and curry leaves.

• Add chopped ginger and chopped green chillies, capsicum, turmeric powder and sauté for sometime.

• Add lime juice and switch off the flame.

• Mix this well with cooked rice.

• Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve hot.
