The Tashi Viewpoint at Gangtok
Shown in the video is the Tashi Viewpoint at Gangtok town which was built by Tashi Namgyal, the late king of Sikkim state, India. This beautiful spot offers a breathtaking view of the majestic Mount Khangchendzonga and other peaks in the Himalayan ranges. One can also see from here the snow on the mountains changing colour with reflected sunlight.
The Phodong and the Labrang monasteries can be seen on the opposite hill. It also has a resting shed, a park and a small cafeteria. Gangtok is one of the most popular hill stations in India and is the capital of the north-eastern state, Sikkim.
