Ram Yantra in Jantar Mantar, Jaipur
Made of circular walls, the Ram Yantra at Jantar Mantar in Jaipur, Rajasthan state of India, is used to measure the local co-ordinates of altitude and azimuth of celestial objects. Built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the Jantar Mantar is one of the largest stone observatories in the world. A World Heritage Site, it is one of the most visited sites of astrologists and scientists.
