Carvings of Abhaneri
The traditional step wells or baori in Abhaneri stands as an example of the great Rajput style of architecture. The village Abhaneri has been established by Raja Chand of Chauhan dynasty during 8th century.
The walls of the steps and the supporting stone pillars of Abhaneri are filled with artistic works. Various themes relating to Hindu mythology and animals are carved in the walls of Chand Baori step wells.
