Silver Arowana fish
Silver arowana (Scientific name: Osteoglossum bicirrhosum) is a freshwater fish commonly found in the Amazon river basin, Rupununi and Oyapock rivers in South America and in Guyana. The species which has the capability to jump out of the water to catch its prey is also called ‘monkey fish’. Long body, tapered tail and the relatively larger scales make it attractive to fish hobbyists. This video has been shot from an Aquarium Show held at Palakkad in Kerala state, India.
