Dr. Amartya Sen
Amartya Kumar Sen, Indian economist, philosopher and the winner of Nobel prize in 1998 for Economic Sciences. Born at Santiniketan in West Bengal, India in 1933 he contributed his ideas welfare economics giving importance to famine, human development theory, underlying mechanisms of poverty and political liberalism.
His major works includes On Economic Inequality, Poverty and Famines and On Ethics and Economics.
