This Indian miniature painting from Rajasthan, India in Bundi style depicts a pair of lovers pointing to the crescent moon. They stand on a decorative stool, admiring the thin silvery sliver of moon seen against the blue sky. This is one of the finest miniatures from Bundi, India, painted by the artist Mohan in A.D. 1689 and is a superb example of the art of miniature painting for which Rajasthan is famous.
