Mukteshwara Temple, Orissa

Mukteshwara Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of the prominent shrines in Orissa, a state located on the east coast of India. Established in CE 950, this temple is situated in Bhubaneshwar.

On the temple walls once can find the meditative pose of ascetics. One can also find a large well near this temple, which is believed to be sacred. It is believed that taking a dip in this well cures a person who is infertile.
