Kangla Fort at Imphal, Manipur
Kangla Fort situated on the banks of Imphal river, Manipur state of India, is a place of historical significance. The fort is the seat of the culture and tradition of the state. Today, only the remains of the fort are seen here.
One can get a splendid view of the surrounding areas from this fort. Once the fort was the center of the power of the Manipur Kings who were defeated and the land were conquered by the British in 1892.
