World Trade Centre- Mumbai
The World Trade Centre is an organization which was formed by Dr. Visveswaraya, a well known scientist. It is situated at Cuffe parade in south Mumbai formerly known as Bombay. At first it was called M.Visveswaraya Industrial Research and Development Centre (MVIRDC). Later on it became a member of the World Trade Centres Association (New York) in 1971.
MVIRDC World trade centre is a platform for various business entities which involves International level business dealings. There are two adjacent towers named centre 1 and centre 2 which constitutes the world trade centre. It gives countless valuable services which include both government and industrial sectors.
In centre 1 there are 35 floors in which there functions different organizations involved in international trade.Centre 2 is a 26- storeyed building. The Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) is functioning in this building.
An arcade is also there which constitutes 2,500 sq.m space. There is an array of showrooms and shops in this arcade. Various state government stalls are also plying their trade here. Besides, there is banking and postal services which are very important for the public are also functioning here.
