Waterfall at Ellora, the rock cut shrines at Aurangabad
The Charanandri hills, in which Ellora caves are hewn, forms part of the Sahyadri ranges of the Deccan and are located at Aurangabad in Maharashtra state. Several streams flows through these hills and the most important among them is the Elaganga, which drains into the Shiv, a stream of the Godavari river system. This stream allows the gushing waters to land near Cave 29 as a crashing waterfall.
