A tribal dance from Dhule district, Maharashtra
The Adivasi Pawara dance, a tribal dance from Dhule the central district of Maharashtra. It is a traditional dance of aboriginal tribes called Adivasis. A stick and plate are used for rhythm. Dhol, a drum like instrument, is the main percussion used. This dance is distinguished as a socio-cultural feature of this tribe. The languages used are Ahirani and Adivasi.
