ISKCON Temple – famous for its Janmashtami celebrations
The ISKCON Temple in Mumbai (Bombay) is also known as the Hare Krishna temple. It is located at Juhu near Versova Beach. This famous temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. Janmashtami (celebration of the birth of Lord Krishna) is the festival which is celebrated grandly in this temple.
It was opened in 1978 as a spiritual centre. Since then the management of this temple has been undertaken by ISKCON. Thousands of devotees visit this temple to feel the spirituality which is paramount. Every day around five thousand pilgrims visit this temple.
