Hanging garden in Mumbai
The Hanging garden or Ferozshah Mehta Garden situated in Malabar hill was built in 1880. It is situated just opposite the Kamala Nehru Park. You can view sunset over the Arabian Sea from here. It is situated inclined the Malabar hill slope and that’s why the name Hanging garden.
Malabar hill is the place where most of the business tycoons in Mumbai city and bollywood filmstars are staying. The far-ranging view of the entire Mumbai city is possible from the terrace of this garden.
This garden is fabricated over three reservoirs which pump water for purifying, before it reaches the city for consumption. The total capacity of these reservoirs is 30 million gallons.
