Overview of Ajanta Caves from Viewpoint

Picturesquely situated in the wild secluded ravine of Lenapur the caves of Ajanta display a splendid combination of architecture, sculpture, and painting that furnish the most complete and interesting series of monuments, considered to be masterpieces of Buddhist religious art. Here we have a bird’s view of the Ajanta caves taken from the Ajanta Viewpoint at Aurangabad, Maharashtra. The surrounding trap hills are covered with brushwood jungle.
