Shown here is the Cave No.2 at Ajanta rock cut caves situated at Aurangabad in Maharashtra, India. The Cave No.2 is one of the finest examples of Buddhist paintings. The paintings and carvings in this cave represents stories from Jakata tales. Jataka tales is a voluminous body of Indian literature which tells stories about the previous life of Gautama Buddha.
