Ajanta Cave No.13, Aurangabad

The Ajanta Caves, situated at Aurangabad in Maharashtra, which includes paintings and sculptures, considered to be masterpieces of Buddhist religious art, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Cave No. 13 which has apparently no architecture is a Bhikshuk’s room. The polished but unchiseled walls indicate that they were not intended for painting.
