Ajanta Cave No. 10, Aurangabad

Cave No.10 is the second and the largest Chaitya in Ajanta. Buddhist prayer halls that house a stupa are called Chaityas. The cave contains a good number of fresco paintings. The whole cave is painted more than once. The Ajanta Caves, situated in Aurangabad in Maharashtra, which includes paintings and sculptures, considered to be masterpieces of Buddhist religious art, is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
