An Adivasi dance from Dhule district, Maharashtra
Adivasi Pawara dance, an adivasi dance from the central district of Maharashtra, Dhule. It is a tribal dance of a group of tribes called Adivasi and is played with stick and plate. Both men and women took part in this and are performed especially on marriage procession. Dhol, a drum like instrument, is the main percussion used. This dance is distinguished as a socio-cultural feature of this tribe. The languages spoken are Ahirani and Adivasi.
