Adi Nivas and the Prayer Ground at Sevagram, Wardha
Adi Nivas was the first hut to be built at the Sevagram Ashram. Around it, one can see the beautiful sand bed or the prayer ground. The northern verandah of this hut was used as the dining hall. Below the open sky on the prayer ground, morning and evening prayers of various religions were held and that has continued even today.
Sevagram is located at Wardha near Nagpur in the Indian state Maharashtra State was Gandhi’s (the Father of the Nation) headquarters and place for experiments from the year 1934 to 1940.
